1 DUI, speeding, no driver’s license and no insurance

University Police Department officers made one arrest for speeding, driving while license suspended and no insurance and investigated a report of false pretense (bad check).
Oxford Fire Department responded to the following calls:
7:23 a.m. – Entrance to Wayne Johnson housing – Dumpster fire – FD extinguished
10:42 a.m. – South Oxford Center – oil was dripping on an electrical motor making it smoke which activated a smoke detector
