Oxford Police Department issued 24 tickets, investigated two wrecks and the following reports:
3 911 hang-ups
22 alarms
1 counterfeit currency
1 disturbing the peace
1 domestic disturbance
1 identity theft
1 motorist assist
2 other agency assists
3 simple assaults
3 suspicious activities
2 suspicious people
1 utility call
1 vehicle search
3 welfare checks

OPD officers made the following arrest:
1 domestic violence with simple assault
1 suspended driver’s license, possession of drug paraphernalia and giving false identifying information

Lafayette Sheriff’s Department made one arrest for domestic violence with simple assault and investigated the following reports:
2 alarms
1 animal complaint
2 disturbances
1 domestic violence
1 fraud
2 follow-ups
7 road obstructions
1 suspicious activity
1 suspicious person
3 suspicious vehicles
2 transports
1 welfare concern
6 processes served
2 assisting stranded motorist

University Police Department conducted seven traffic stops.


Oxford Fire Department responded to the following calls:
2:51 a.m. – Home 2 Suites – power outage activated the general fire alarm
2:52 a.m. & 03:04 a.m. – Coulter Hall – power surge activated the general fire alarm
2:46 a.m. – First Presbyterian Church – power surge activated their general fire alarm
3:29 a.m. – Lexington Point Bldg. 2000 – no audible alarm present upon arrival – alarm panel showed nothing activated
