Ole Miss Baseball Welcomes the Memphis Tigers for Tuesday Tangle

The No. 11 Ole Miss baseball team returns to the diamond this evening as they play host to the Memphis Tigers. This will be the 150th time these two clubs have met. First pitch is slated for 6:30 p.m. on the SEC Network+.
Ole Miss is looking to bounce back after dropping the series to the Kentucky Wildcats over the weekend.
Junior Grae Kessinger has been on an offensive tear, increasing his batting average has by .117 since the start of conference action. Last week the Oxford native hit .727 (8-for-11) with a .824 on-base percentage and 1.091 slugging percentage. Kessinger scored five runs and drove in five more.
Memphis rolls into Oxford with a 17-16 record on the season. The Tigers took one game from UConn over the weekend on the road 7-1.
Freshman Hunter Goodman leads the team with a .354 batting average, 51 hits and 40 RBIs on the season. His teammate Payton Marshall is right behind him with a .351 clip.
The Rebels will send southpaw Zack Phillips to the mound to face the Tigers. Phillips is 3-1 on the season with a 4.91 ERA. He has struck out 29 batters and only allowed 13 walks in 29.1 innings of work.
Ole Miss defeated Memphis 9-6 at AutoZone Park on the banks of the Mississippi River last month. The Rebels hold a strong lead on the all-time series at 96-53.
