The Ole Miss Rebels softball team defeated the Chattanooga Mocs 12-0 in their opening game of the Oxford Regional.

Ole Miss (38-17) displayed dominate offense and fire power in the first two innings by scoring 11 runs.

Kaylee Horton delivered a triple in the first that cleared the bases to put the Rebels up 4-0 in the frame. Horton finished the night going 3-for-3 at the plate with 3 RBIs.

Ole Miss senior pitcher Brittany Finney was electric in the circle. Finney kept the Mocs scoreless through three complete innings and only allowed three hits and struck out five batters in the win.

Sophomore Ava Tillmann entered to pitch in the top of the fourth. Tillman did not surrender a run in the combined shutout.

Ole Miss returns to the diamond on Saturday as they take on Louisiana at noon.
