Being healthy is more than a task for bodybuilders and athletes. Oxford Nutrition provides a way for the Oxford community to stay healthy no matter age or lifestyle. Located on Merchants Drive, the nutrition shop offer shakes, teas, and aloe shots.

“Energy teas are a necessity for finals week,” Oxford Nutrition posted on Instagram.

Oxford Nutrition provides the community an untraditional way to be healthy and lose weight.

“Some of the things that stick out for us are when people come in and they do not believe that they can get such an amazing taste at such a low calorie intake without the sugar and the traditional carbs, said Preston Butts, co-owner of Oxford Nutrition. “We’ve had people that replace one meal a day with one of our shakes and lose anywhere from 8-20 pounds in a month.”

Oxford Nutrition sets themselves apart by offering the community chances to grow themselves through community events. They based their business around giving back to the community.

“What a lot of people don’t know about Oxford Nutrition is we’re going to do more than just provide you with great service, great food, and a great atmosphere,” Butts said. “We’re going to employ to the city, which we have already done through some of our philanthropic efforts with CASA Lafayette County. We’re also going to host events for students, young entrepreneurs, and think tanks.”

As for their products, Oxford Nutrition customers don’t have to guess what nutrients they are putting in their body. They are able to choose what flavors they want and know nothing in the store is unhealthy.

Julia Goudeau, junior at Ole Miss, said the shakes taste so good and she likes the fact they don’t add anything unhealthy to their drinks.

One of Oxford Nutrition’s goals is to make make sure the community’s experience is enjoyable from all aspects. The staff offers samples to ensure the customers have the opportunity to choose what’s best for them.

“They are always super friendly and welcoming and make your experience amazing. While you’re sitting at the bar browsing the menu or waiting for your drinks, they will give you samples of other shakes so you have an even better idea of which ones are your favorite and just how good they all are,” Goudeau said.
