Oxford Police Department issued 15 tickets, investigated three wrecks and the following reports:

OPD officers made the following arrests:
1 DUI and careless driving
1 DUI, suspended driver’s license, no license and no seat belt
1 possession of drug paraphernalia and no seat belt
1 suspended driver’s license, no insurance and open container
Lafayette Sheriff’s Department investigated one wreck and the following reports:

Deputies made the following arrests:

2 writs to take custody
University Police Department investigated two wrecks.
Oxford Fire Department responded to the following calls:
8:38 a.m. – University Ave and Hwy 6 – wreck – one vehicle’s engine area was on fire due to impact
10:42 a.m. – 1019 South Lamar – smell of gas – checked the residence inside and out with the gas monitor and didn’t find a leak
5:59 & 6:34 p.m. – South Residential College – cooking activated a smoke detector
