The Ole Miss men’s basketball team will take the court this season against Penn State as a part of the 2019 NIT Tip-Off at the Barclays Center, an arena in New York City. The matchup will take place Wednesday, Nov. 27 at 4 p.m. on ESPN 2.

The Rebels will be in the Big Apple during the week of Thanksgiving as the NIT Season Tip-off returns to the home of the Brooklyn Nets and New York Islanders for the fifth straight season.

The Friday (Nov. 29) third-place game will air at 6 p.m. CT on ESPN2, ESPNU or ESPNEWS, and the championship follows at 8 p.m. CT, on ESPN2 or ESPNU.

During the 2013-14 season, Ole Miss took part in the Barclays Center Classic. They defeated Georgia Tech 77-67 and Penn State 79-76 to bring home the title.

Ole Miss and Penn State have faced off on the hardwood three times, and the Rebels hold a 3-0 advantage all-time in the series.

The 2019-20 season begins for head coach Kermit Davis and his squad on Nov. 4 with an exhibition game against Mississippi College. Then, on Nov. 8, the Rebels welcome to the Pavilion the Arkansas State Red Wolves.
