Oxford Police Department issued 18 tickets, investigated three wrecks and the following reports:
1 911 hang-up
6 alarms
3 ambulance assists
2 careless driving complaints
1 civil matter
1 disturbing the peace
1 improper parking
2 lost properties
2 malicious mischief complaints
2 motorist assists
1 simple assault
4 suspicious activities
1 suspicious person
3 suspicious vehicles
2 welfare checks

OPD made the following arrests:
1 DUI and one headlight
1 DUI-second and suspended driver’s license
1 possession of a schedule 2 drug and warrant served
1 possession of drug paraphernalia and warrant served
1 warrant served

Lafayette Sheriff’s Department made one arrest for contempt of court, investigated three wrecks and the following reports:
1 agency assist
1 alarm
2 animal complaints
1 residential burglary
1 civil matter
4 disturbance
2 fraud
3 follow-ups
1 information
1 juvenile complaint
1 malicious mischief
1 reckless driving
1 road obstruction
3 suspicious activity

1 unauthorized use of vehicle

University Police Department investigated one wreck.

Oxford Fire Department responded to the following calls:
10:04 a.m. – 2425A University Ave. – medical call – EMS already on scene
10:06 a.m. – West Jackson Ave. – Walmart – wreck, monitored one patient until EMS arrived
10:55 a.m. – House behind Second Baptist Church – resident felt faint – EMS on scene at the same time
4 p.m. – 423 N. 16th St. No. 102 – smoke detector malfunction
6:19 p.m. – 906 Murfield – smoke detector malfunction
7:38 p.m. – Renasant Bank West Jackson Ave. – alarm company reported “zone 6 fire panel trip” – no keyholder available to let FD into the building
