Officers responded to a residence on Front Street in Oxford for a reported drive-by shooting. No one was injured; however, the house had been shot several times with bullets. The victims told the officers that Ladarius Shipp, 23, of Grenada shot at the house because he was disgruntled over the purchase of a motorcycle.

Shipp was arrested Thursday by Leflore County Sheriff’s Department. He has been charged with drive-by shooting and shooting into an occupied dwelling and was given a $150,000 bond by a Justice Court Judge.

Also on Wednesday, OPD officers were dispatched to The Links apartments for a report of gunshots. Officers located a juvenile who fired a gun outside. No one was injured.

The juvenile was charged with discharging a firearm within the city limits, a misdemeanor offense. His case was turned over to Juvenile Court.
