The Lafayette Commodores are hosting ‘Meet the Commodores’ this evening at William L. Buford Stadium beginning at 6 p.m.

The Commodores’ athletic program will unveil to fans this year’s middle and high school football teams, cheer, dance, cross country, basketball, soccer, swim and the band, according to head football coach Michael Fair.

Last season, the Commodores saw their run come to a close after a 9-4 overall record and 5-2 mark in league play.

LHS averaged 34.7 points per game every Friday night in the fall and held their opponents to only 15.1 points on average.

Lafayette takes the gridiron tomorrow night against the South Panola Tigers in a jamboree game in Batesville. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. The regular season gets underway Aug. 23 at Cleveland Central.
