The Mississippi Highway Patrol is investigating a single-car wreck that claimed the lives of two Oxford residents Friday night.
At about 10:45 pm a car traveling on Highway 6 East went off the side of the road for unknown reasons. Breana Gordon, 19, was pronounced dead on the scene by Lafayette Country Coroner Rocky Kennedy.
Charles “Scooter” Redmond, 27, was transferred via medical helicopter to The Med in Memphis where he died a short time later from his injuries.
