Oxford Man Still Missing Since Sunday

Police are still searching for a man they say went missing over the weekend in Oxford with very few leads to follow.

Family members say Homer Myers, 73, was last seen Saturday, Aug. 24 at 11 p.m. at his home at Twin Gates off CR 401. OPD received the missing person’s call Monday, Aug. 26 at 7 a.m.

Homer Myers, 73, of Oxford.

The family stated Myers had no known medical conditions or personal means of transportation. They describe him as 5 feet, 7 inches tall and 190 pounds. He was last seen wearing khaki pants and a blue shirt.

“We are asking for the public’s assistance in any information that could lead to the location of Homer,” said Capt. Hildon Sessums.

The Oxford Fire Department did a 500-yard grid search Tuesday but didn’t find anything, Sessums said.
