Six Oxford High School students were recently named National Merit Semifinalists by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation.

Semifinalist status is based on scores on the Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test taken during their junior year.

The 2019 National Merit Semifinalists from OHA are Lauren Bial, Cooper Crawley, Edward Hu, Sophie Quinn, Donald Rogers and Emmie Stevens.

As finalists, these OHS seniors are now eligible for approximately 7,500 exclusive scholarships worth more than $32 million, according to the National Merit Scholarship Corporation. Some 190 colleges and universities around the nation also extend scholarship offers to National Merit Finalists, according to the National Merit Scholarship Corporation.
