Two Lafayette County Buses Involved in Wreck; Students Not Injured

The Mississippi Highway Patrol is investigating a wreck involving two Lafayette County school buses Tuesday afternoon.

According to MHP, the wreck occurred at about 3:44 p.m. when two buses collided around the Highway 7/9 split.

Students were on both buses but no injuries were reported; however, one of the drivers received minor injuries.

The buses involved were No. 515 and No. 23.

According to the Lafayette County School District, each child was checked out by EMTs at the scene.

The cause of this crash is still under investigation.
