*Update: According to the National Weather Service, a flash flood warning was issued due to a possible breach of the Lake Tara Dam until 6:15 p.m.

Lafayette County officials are asking residents who live north of Rhett’s Drive in the College Hill area to evacuate their homes as a precautionary measure due to a potential levee breach.

The levee has not yet breached.

The levee is located in Lake Tara.
