Oxford Man Charged With Robbery

Ernest Sears

An Oxford man faces a felony robbery charge after being arrested recently by the Oxford Police Department.

On March 15, the Oxford Police Department was dispatched to Effie Circle for a report of a robbery.

After investigation, Ernest Sears, 22, Oxford was arrested and charged with robbery.

Sears was taken before a Lafayette County Justice Court judge for his initial bond hearing and issued a $20,000 bond but the bond was revoked due to Sears being out on a previous felony bond.
