Oxford Swim Champions and New Records

The Mississippi High School Activities Association hosted swimming state championships at the Tupelo Aquatic Center where the Oxford High School swim team brought home three state championships, top three in numerous races, and set several new school records. 

STATE CHAMPIONS:

Boys 100 Freestyle: Jacob Tulchinsky

Boys 200 Freestyle Relay: Bobby Jubera, Knox Laws, Gates Allen, Jacob Tulchinsky (school record 1:08.01)

Girls 100 Breaststroke: Brooks Sipes (school record 1:08.01)

STATE RUNNERS-UP:

50 Freestyle, 100 Freestyle: Cole Oyler

100 Breaststroke: Landon Schock

50 Freestyle: Jacob Tulchinsky (school record 21.56)

THIRD PLACE:

Boys 200 Medley Relay – Bobby Jubera, Landon Schock, Knox Laws, Rel Alderson

Girls 200 Free Relay – Holly Cabral, Darden Crowe, Maier Jernigan, Brooks Sipes

Girls 400 Free Relay- Holly Cabral, Anabelle Pannel, Cole Ovler, Brook Sipes

Boys 400 Free Relay – Landon Schock, Bobby Jubera, Gates Allen, Jacob Tulchinsky (school record 3:19.97)

OVERALL

Boys Team – third Place and Girls Team – fourth Place

Oxford High School swimming is coached by Head Coach Hayley Murphy and Assistant Coach Austin Smithwick.
