Ole Miss Sends 31 Athletes to NCAA East Regional

Ole Miss is headed to the NCAA East Regional with another big group, and at this point it almost feels routine.

The Rebels are sending 31 athletes with 35 total entries to Lexington for the first round of the NCAA Championships on May 27-30, keeping pace with the kind of depth Connie Price-Smith has built over more than a decade in Oxford.

The men lead the way with 20 entries from 18 athletes, while the women add 15 from 13. Eight Rebels will be making their regional debut, including four freshmen, and nine more are doubling up in multiple events.

That list includes distance standouts Aiden Britt and Kidus Misgina in the 5K-10K combo, sprinters like Max Armstrong and Carson Turner working the 800 and 4×400, and veterans such as Loral Winn and Sophie Baumann taking on the 1500-5K double.

There are even two potential triplers in sophomore Jordan Urrutia and freshman Patchnalie Compere, both scheduled for the 100, 200 and 4×100 relay.

It’s a lot of moving parts, but that’s what happens when you qualify inside the top-48 nationally in event after event.

The goal now is simple: finish top-12 and punch a ticket to Eugene for the NCAA Outdoor Championships in June.

Price-Smith’s track record suggests plenty of Rebels will do just that. In 11 seasons, she has averaged more than 11 national qualifiers per year, produced eight NCAA outdoor champions and nearly 100 All-America honors. Her teams have lived in the national top-25, highlighted by a fifth-place women’s finish in 2024 and a top-eight showing for the men in 2025.

This group has the numbers, the experience and the history behind it. Now it gets its shot to add to the program’s growing list of postseason moments.
