ElvisElvis tribute recreates iconic 1973 concert

The television broadcast of Elvis Presley’s “Aloha from Hawaii” concert of 1973 was the biggest entertainment special of its time. Broadcast via satellite to 40 different countries, the King reached hundreds of millions of people.

On February 1 at 7 p.m., the Memphis Symphony Orchestra and the Terry Mike Jeffrey Band will celebrate the 40th anniversary and recreate this iconic concert, performing Elvis’s authentic original arrangements at the Gertrude C. Ford Center for the Performing Arts at the University of Mississippi.
