Ole Miss Athletics has joked for three days about asking for donations to help pay the $50,000 NCAA-enforced fine for rushing the field as well as replacing the goal posts and fixing some additional stadium damage that happened along the way.

The university created a website for donations, which includes gifts for certain values. Donors who contribute $500 will receive a 3″ piece of the goal posts, and $1,000 donors get a 6″ piece.
Smaller gifts include a thank you letter and commemorative computer graphics and prints.
At the time of posting this article, the campaign had raised $57,493 from 465 donors, and that number grew with every refresh.
