Rebels Drop Home Matchup Against Bayou Bengals

The Ole Miss Rebels dropped a 75-71 decision to the LSU Tigers on Wednesday night after losing a seven-point lead.

Ole Miss (10-6, 1-2 SEC) was led by M.J. Rhett, who finished with 15 points and seven rebounds. Three others joined him in double-figures: Stefan Moody had 14, Jarvis Summers added 13 and Dwight Coleby scored 10 of his own.

As a team, Ole Miss shot 35 percent from the field. The Rebels continue to shoot well from the free-throw line as they hit 12-of-16 at 75 percent.

Ole Miss outrebounded the Tigers 47-41 in the game, but were unable to get over the hump to get the win at home.

LSU (13-3, 2-1) was led on the night by guard Keith Hornsby with 23 points and five rebounds. As a team, the Tigers shot 43.3 percent from the field.

Ole Miss returns to action on Saturday as they travel to Fayetteville to to take on the Arkansas Razorbacks.
