Two Mississippians Compete for Gold In Rio

Two Mississippians will go for gold in Rio tonight.

Reese, the former Ole Miss star, was an Olympic gold medalist four years ago in London. Bowie, who starred at Southern Miss, already has a silver medal in Rio in the 100 meters.

Gulfport’s Brittney Reese competes in the long jump final and Sandhill will compete for gold in the 200-meter dash.

Both are considered favorites to win their events tonight.
