Unemployment rates in Lafayette County are some of the lowest in the state thanks to all the new businesses. The Chancellor’s House is helping to bring down this rate even more by hiring almost 100 new employees for their opening in January. A job fair was held today (Thursday, Nov. 17) and will be held again on Saturday, Nov. 19 at the Oxford Conference Center, Magnolia Room A, 102 Ed Perry Blvd. from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Newswatch Reporter Emily Mackenzie brings this report.
