Country Club Road will be closed today for several hours as crews replace a pipe that crosses the roadway.
Oxford Public Works officials suggest using Colonial Road and Ole Miss Drive as a detour route.
The road could be re-opened by noon today.
Starting on Tuesday, those who drive on Old Taylor Road should expect some delays.
The Public Works Department will be installing a new water main along the road. Flagmen will be directing traffic through lane closures between Chucky Mullins Drive and Whirlpool Drive until work is complete.
The work is expected to be completed on Friday.
