Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department investigated three wrecks, made one arrest for domestic disturbance and investigated the following reports:

University Police Department investigated one wreck and responded to a call about a suspicious person.

Oxford Fire Department responded to the following calls:
10:57 a.m.- University Ave. Pizza Hut area – bicycle vs car – subject hit refused EMS
12:39 p.m.- Little Angels Daycare – medical call – EMS was already on scene
3:08 p.m.- 3604 Lyles Drive – power outage alarm activated when the power came back on
3:20 p.m.- Peabody Hall – person stuck on an elevator – call unfounded nobody was there
3:57 p.m.- 122 Thacker Loop – bad smoke detector
7:43 p.m.- Hefley Hall room 323 – spraying ant spray activated the smoke detector
10:37 p.m. – First Presbyterian Church – utility, hall, and kitchen smoke detectors – no alarms were activated
