Lifelong Lafayette Resident Killed in One-Car Wreck

The Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a fatal wreck that claimed the life of Charles Thomas Collier a life-long Lafayette resident.

According to reports from the sheriff’s department and the Lafayette County Coroner’s Office, Collier, 32, of Lafayette County, was driving on County Road 415 at about 7 p.m. Tuesday when he ran off the road for unknown reasons and apparently overcorrected.

The vehicle went off the road where it overturned.

Lafayette County Coroner Rocky Kennedy pronounced Collier dead at the scene.

Collier graduated from Lafayette County High School in 2005. He was married to Lovie and he leaves behind three children.
