First Baby of 2019 Born at Baptist Hospital in Oxford on Jan. 2

The first baby born at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi made his entrance into the world early Wednesday morning on Jan. 2, 2019.

Kenny and Jayne Mitchell welcomed their son, Kam Jaxson Mitchell at 3:35 a.m. Kam weighed 5 pounds, 3 ounces and was 18 inches long.

Delivered by Dr. William Henderson, Kam is also welcomed by his big brother Kavon Mitchell.

For being the first baby born in 2019, the Mitchells received a rock-and-play from BMH.
