Former Ole Miss Dispatcher Arrested on 2 Counts of Sexual Battery

On Wednesday, June 26, Lafayette County police officers were dispatched to a county residence to investigate allegations of sexual misconduct.

Per Alan Wilburn of the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department, Nikki Thweatt, 37, was accused of having an inappropriate relationship with a minor. Police arrested her for two counts of sexual battery after investigators confirmed there was sufficient evidence.

She was transported to the Lafayette County Detention Center and booked on a $80,000 bond.

“We are not giving the name of the victim or address, but we can tell that the victim is a 15 year old female,” Wilburn said. “The Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department expect more charges as the investigation continues.”

Wilburn confirmed Thweatt “was” an employee of the University of Mississippi as a dispatcher.

As of 1 p.m. Saturday, Thweatt was still in jail.
