As the primary election approaches for the state of Mississippi on Tuesday, two Lafayette county residents are facing off for the Republican nomination for Board of Supervisors District 5. The winner of the primary election will vie for the position against Mike Roberts, a Democrat, in the general election in November.
Gary Atkinson Jr. and Johnny (Mike) Fortner will face-off tomorrow with hopes to land the Republican nomination.
