The Ole Miss Rebels football team has a new, equipment truck to kick-off its 125th season which starts on Aug. 31 when the Rebels take on the Memphis Tigers at the Liberty Bowl.
The new Rebel tractor-trailer will be used to transport football equipment to and from away games. The new truck was donated by KLLM Transport Services that donated equipment trailers to both Ole Miss and the University of Southern Mississippi.
The blue and red 18-wheeler celebrates the 125 seasons that Ole Miss has taken on the gridiron.
Keith Carter, interim athletic director, tweeted Monday his excitement for the new tractor-trailer.
“Got a chance to sit behind the wheel of this bad boy today! A big thank you to KLLMtransport, the Duff Family, and Jim Richards for making this happen. Rebs are rolling in style,” Carter wrote.
Knox Graham, the director of marketing and advertising for KLLM, told HottyToddy.com that the company has been donating tractor-trailers to the Golden Eagles for almost a decade; however, this was the first year the company made a donation to the Rebels.
Ole Miss will open the season at 11 a.m. on Aug. 31 on ABC.
