Texas Woman Found by OPD in Stolen Car

A Texas woman was discovered driving a car reported stolen by an Oxford police officer recently.

According to the Oxford Police Department, at 7 p.m. on Oct. 5 an officer conducted a traffic stop on Highway 6 West near Chucky Mullins on a car with no license plate.

During the roadside investigation, the officer discovered the car was reported stolen from Arlington, Texas.

Contessa Johnson, 35, of Euless, Texas was arrested and charged with stolen property, DUI and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was taken to the Lafayette County Detention Center where she was booked on a $10,000 bond.
