The Mississippi Highway Patrol is investigating a crash that claimed the life of a Water Valley man Tuesday afternoon.
According to MHP, at about 4:23 p.m. Tuesday, a 2003 Chevrolet Avalanche driven by Justin M. Woodard, 39, of Watervalley was traveling westbound on MS 328 when the vehicle left the roadway and collided with a tree.
Woodard was pronounced dead at the scene.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
