Jerrion Ealy Tabbed to Midseason List for FWAA Freshman All-American Team

Ole Miss freshman running back Jerrion Ealy was named to the midseason watch list Football Writers Association of America Freshman All-America Team the organization announced on Wednesday.

This season, Ealy has rushed for 384 yards on 48 touches with four touchdowns on the ground. The Walnut Grove, Mississippi native has three runs greater than 50 yards this season, the third-most in the country. His 8.0 yards per carry leads all SEC freshmen, with a minimum of 40 carries.

He leads the SEC and ranks 25th nationally with 24.9 yards per return, including a 94-yard TD return vs. Southeastern Louisiana in Week 3. Ealy has also hauled in nine catches for 92 yards and one TD. He is the first Ole Miss player since 2012 (Jaylen Walton) to record a rushing, receiving and return touchdown in the same season.

Ole Miss returns to the gridiron Saturday after a bye week as they travel to No. 11 Auburn.
