Ole Miss quarterback to have his collar bone stabilized

Ole Miss sophomore quarterback Bo Wallace is having surgery today to stabilize his collar bone.
According to Kyle Campbell, assistant athletics director for media and public relations, the procedure will be performed by Dr. William Geissler at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. Wallace’s recovery time is expected to be 4-6 months, so the Pulaski, Tenn. native will miss spring practice.
Wallace, who was a vital piece of the Rebels’ offense this season, injured his throwing shoulder in Ole Miss’ 39-0 win over Tulane in September.
The 6-foot-4, 204-pounder played with the injury the rest of the season, and put up impressive numbers.
Wallace finished the season with 2,994 yards, passing Eli Manning’s sophomore season mark for third in school history. He also had 22 touchdowns on the year, but he also had 17 interceptions. Some of those picks could’ve been a result of the weak shoulder.
