The Ole Miss Rebels welcome the Texas A&M Aggies to Oxford tonight in an SEC conference rematch of the game played in College Station, Texas on Feb. 13.
Ole Miss (20-7, 9-5 SEC) is coming into the game after a thirty point, 88-58 win on Saturday against Auburn. Junior Marshall Henderson led the team in scoring against the Tigers with a total of 28 points. He also matched the school’s record of three-pointers made in a game with eight.
Henderson leads the SEC in scoring, averaging 19.7 points per game. He also ranks fourth in the nation in three-pointers made with an average of 3.9 a game.
Texas A&M (16-11, 6-8 SEC) looks to rebound and finish the season strong after splitting two games last week. They chalked up a win at Auburn before losing to Tennessee at home in a game that went into four overtimes.
The last time the Rebels and the Aggies met back on February 13, the Rebels lost a 69-67 heartbreaker. Aggie senior Elston Turner helped propel his team to a win with a career high seven three-pointers and 37 points in the game. Turner is the son of former Ole Miss guard Elston Turner senior, who played here from 1977-1981.
The Rebels have an overall record of 14-1 at the Tad Smith Coliseum, and are 5-1 at home in the SEC with the lone loss coming from the Kentucky Wildcats.
Ole Miss and Texas A&M are meeting for only the third time, with the Aggies winning the first two meetings. Tonight’s game will mark the Aggies first trip into Oxford.
