After a very successful year for the Ole Miss Football team under first year head coach Hugh Freeze, the Rebels capped a winning season by defeating their in-state rival Mississippi State and winning the Golden Egg. The win propelled the team into a birth in the BBVA Compass Bowl against a Big-East opponent in the Pittsburgh Panthers. Before a huge crowd of red and blue fans at Legion Field in Birmingham, Ole Miss defeated the Panthers by a score of 38-17. With a new season just around the corner the 2013 football season does not look to disappoint with a great seven home game slate. Just in case there’s a single Rebel fan out there who is not already wildly enthusiastic about the 2013 prospects, the Ole Miss Sports Department has created a promotional video for the upcoming season.
