Inaugural Columns Society Reunion to be Held

The first Columns Society reunion is set to take place Nov. 8-9, the weekend the Rebels host the Arkansas Razorbacks. Former and current members of The Columns Society as well as faculty, staff and alumni who have been instrumental in the organization’s existence are invited to participate. The reunion kicks off Friday, Nov. 8, with the Navy Blazer Bash. Chancellor and Mrs. Dan Jones will open their home, Carrier House, to reunion attendees at 6 p.m. A tailgate will be set up on Saturday, Nov. 9 for attendees on the front lawn of the Triplett Alumni Center. The tailgate will start three hours prior to kickoff.

The Columns Society is an organization made up of 24 of the university’s top students. Obtaining membership involves going through a rigorous application and interview process. Consisting of 12 men and 12 women, this service-oriented group serves as official hosts for the university. The group is based upon the principles of humble service, leadership and integrity.
