Press Release From Oxford Police Department on Deadly Car Accident

This morning, HottyToddy.com received the following press release from Oxford Chief of Police, Joey East, concerning the car accident that killed two Ole Miss students early Saturday morning. The following is the press release

“At approximately 4:45 am, November 9, 2013 the Oxford Police Department responded to a call for an overturned vehicle at Highway 7 near University Avenue. Two of the four passengers, Christopher Grimaud, age 20, and Kevin Eagan, age 18, were pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver, Arthur Lueking, age 21, was transported to The Med in Memphis, Tennessee and the other passenger, James Connors, age 19, was transported to Baptist Hospital of North Mississippi and was released later that same day with minor injuries. It was determined that the accident happened on Highway 7 after the vehicle had cleared the on ramp heading South on Highway 7. All four passengers are students at the University of Mississippi.

The Oxford community is saddened by this unfortunate tragedy. The Oxford Police Department continues to investigate the incident and will update the community as it is able. Out thoughts and prayers go out to all of the families that have been touched by this heartbreaking accident.”
