Alderman Jay Hughes sent the following notice about a road closure this weekend:
[quote]Jackson Avenue will be closed on Saturday, March 29 between Gertrude Ford Boulevard and Depot Street. The Sewer Department will be performing work and must close the road for safety of the workers and traveling public. Motorists will be encouraged to use Gertrude Ford Boulevard to access Depot Street as a detour. A message board will be installed on Jackson Avenue at Gertrude Ford along with signs and traffic cones to direct traffic. Work is expected to take place between 7:30 AM and 5:00 PM. In the event of rain Saturday, the work will be performed on Sunday, March 30.[/quote]
