The Lafayette County 5K Police Officers Memorial Run took place Saturday. All photos by Sharon Hays.

The Lafayette County Police Officers 5K Memorial run this weekend in Oxford generated smiles and tears.
It also helped raise money for funds supporting the families of slain law enforcement officers.
Despite the drizzle, an enthusiastic group of runners that included police officers, firemen and people from all walks of life ran the distance with the names of killed officers on their backs.
Here are some images from the event taken by HottyToddy.com photographer Sharon Hays.
