Oxford civic leaders kick off synthetic turf project at Oxford High this summer.
Bobby Holcomb Field will be closed to all Oxford School District staff, students and the Lafayette-Oxford-University community beginning Thursday, July 31, 2014, because of ongoing artificial turf construction in the school campus area.
The use of the track, stadium area and field is not allowed at this time.
“We do apologize for the inconvenience,” said Athletic Director Coach Johnny Hill, “but we need people to not use this area so that the final leg of the artificial turf construction can be completed.”
Bobby Holcomb Field and the use of the track area, field and stadium should be open to school district staff, students and the general public August 23, 2014.
