Oxford Daily Crime Report for Tuesday, Aug. 26


Oxford Police Department responded to three alarms, two disturbances, two welfare concerns, one careless driving, one petit larceny, one shoplifter, one malicious mischief, and one suspicious activity.
>Oxford Police Department investigated eight wrecks, issued 10 tickets, and made six arrests on following charges: (2) public drunks, one for warrant served on probation violation, one for DUI to first degree with speeding without car insurance, one for DUI to first degree with careless driving, and a DUI to the second degree.
The University Police Department responded to an attempted suicide at Crosby Hall, two car accidents in Women Terrance Lot, and a car accident at the Inn at Ole Miss.
The Oxford Fire Department responded to an overheated vehicle that caught fire on Highway 6 at 1:27 p.m.
The Oxford Fire Department responded to two calls: a vehicle overheated and caught fire on Highway 6 at 1:27 p.m.; and the OFD was called to clean up the Methodist church parking lot at 6:54 a.m. on Wednesday
