The Rebels jumped three spots in the AP poll this week after defeating Boise State.

The Associated Press released its updated rankings Tuesday afternoon, and the Rebels are a little closer to the top than the preseason predictions.
Ole Miss climbed three spots to No. 15 in this week’s rankings after earning the No. 18 spot in the AP’s Preseason Top 25 and defeating Boise State 35-13 on Thursday in Atlanta. The new ranking is Ole Miss’ highest since 2009.
South Carolina’s loss to Texas A&M dropped them a few spots in the ranking, leaving room for Ole Miss to climb the ladder.
Overall, eight SEC teams found themselves included in the new AP rankings, including five of the seven SEC West teams that Ole Miss faces every year.
