Officers and collegiate members got under way with the event Saturday at 10 a.m. for the new $5 million facility at Ole Miss.
Site preparation began in late July on Rebel Drive for the first new sorority house to be built on the Ole Miss campus since the 1970s. Members of Alpha Delta Pi sorority will move into the almost 19,000-square foot house in fall of 2015.
“We are so excited to begin construction on our ‘home’ in Oxford,” said Tammie Pinkston, international president of Alpha Delta Pi. “Sorority houses are a great part of the Ole Miss culture and we want to make all of our members and the larger community proud of what Alpha Delta Pi brings to the Ole Miss Greek community.”
