Oxford Daily Crime Report for Friday to Sunday, Sept. 19 – 21

Oxford Police responded to the following incidents: 25 disturbances, 20 suspicious persons, 15 alarm calls, 10 assists, five improper parking, three counterfeit currency, three larceny calls, four malicious mischief, two simple assaults, a welfare concern, a fire assist, an ambulance assist, and a lost property.
Oxford Police also investigated 21 wrecks (no injuries), issued 61 tickets, and made 39 arrests for the following charges: 10 minors in possession, a minor in possession of alcohol with a fake ID, three public drunks, a public drunk with drug paraphernalia, an out of area warrant served, a careless driver without car insurance and a DUI to first degree, a speeder with DUI to first degree, five drug paraphernalia, two disorderly conducts, a noise violation, two possession of fake identities, a red light runner with DUI to first degree, a possession of drug paraphernalia and an illegal possession of firearm as a felon, a driver with suspended drivers license and possession of drug paraphernalia, two consumption of alcohol on public streets, a driver with a suspended license, no car insurance and a DUI to first degree, a careless driver without car insurance and a drivers license, a shoplifter, a driver without a drivers license and a DUI to second degree.
Oxford Police discoveredthree code violations and ticketed three illegal taxis.
The University Police responded to the following incidents: a service call for a suspicious person at Hill Drive, a vandalism at Stewart Hall, a motor vehicle accident at Union, a motor vehicle accident at Tad Smith Coliseum, a motor vehicle accident in the South Lot, a traffic detail assist with Pi Beta Phi house, a warrant served, an accidental hit and run at Tad Smith Coliseum, two disturbances at Campus Walk, a service call for a suspicious person at Kincannon Hall, an intoxicated person at Martin Hall, a motor vehicle accident at Union, a motor vehicle accident at Luckyday Residential College, an intoxicated person at Stockard Hall, an intoxicated person on Fraternity Row, a disturbance at Hefley Hall, a motor vehicle accident on Rebel Drive, a suspicious vehicle at Fraternity Row, and a motor vehicle accident at Rebel Drive.
The Oxford Fire Dept. responded to the following calls: a fire alarm that made no audible noises and the alarm panel that did not show an alarm went off at Phi Tau house,
a first floor smoke detector malfunction at Pi Beta Phi house, a smoke detector activated due to an air freshener spray at Sigma Pi house, a heat duct malfunction at Della Davidson School, and a resident pulled a fire alarm at State Veterans Home.
