Oxford police responded to the following incidents: three suspicious activities, three alarms, two lost properties, a fire dept. assist, an illegal taxi, a petit larceny, a careless driver, a motorist assist, a phone harassment, a credit card fraud, a 911 hang up call, a disturbance, and a civil matter.
Oxford police investigated nine wrecks, issued 36 traffic citations, and made seven arrests on the following charges: (2) possession of drug paraphernalia, a careless driver with a DUI, a petit larceny, driving with one headlight without a drivers license and a DUI to second degree, a shoplifting, and a warrant served.
Oxford Police discovered no code enforcement violations.
University Police responded to the following incidents: a possession of alcohol within residency at Crosby Hall, a service call for an ambulance at Minor Hall, a vandalism to vehicle at Kincannon lot, and a possession of drug paraphernalia at Burns Hall.
Oxford Fire Dept. responded to the following calls: a smoke detector activated due to bug foggers at 301 W. Jackson Ave., a resident pulled a fire alarm at State Veterans Home, and a smoke detector malfunction at room 106 at Gastroenterology of Oxford.
