OSD Recognizes High-Performing Students for Language Arts, Math Scores

Recently, the Oxford School District recognized school students who achieved the highest possible scores in Language Arts and Mathematics on the 2014 Mississippi Curriculum Test 2 (MCT2).
Oxford School District students who achieved the highest possible score on the 2014 Language Arts MCT2 are Keerthin Karthikeyan and Luke Wigginton. Also, achieving the highest possible score on the 2014 Mathematics MCT2 are Ishan Datta, Savannah Shipley, Aidan Sullivan, Ajay Alluri, Sofia Jeri, Aiden Addy, Alexander Mobley, Felicity Tuan, Megan Bundren, Addison Grafton, Edward Hu, Lilian Hemmins, Siena Cizdziel, John Ligon, Tamjeed Azad, Jaron Hall, and Anish Ravishankar.
The Mississippi Department of Education releases accountability results based on state test scores from the MCT2, which consists of customized criteria based on language arts and mathematics tests administered to all Mississippi students in third through eighth grades. Results are used for the purpose of improving instruction and advancing student achievement.
