The Ole Miss Rebels step back into SEC action this weekend to host Alabama Crimson Tide in a conference tilt at the diamond of Swayze.

Ole Miss (21-21, 8-10 SEC) enters the weekend after splitting their midweek action by defeating Central Arkansas 18-4  but dropping a 10-5 game to Memphis on Wednesday.

Connor Cloyd and Will Golsan both recorded multiple hits in four of the last five games, while teammate Colby Bortles has reached base safely in 19 of the last 20 games.

Alabama rolls into Oxford this weekend with a 22-18 overall record and 8-10 in conference play. The Tide swept Mississippi Valley State on Tuesday after dropping a series to Missouri over the weekend.

Sophomore Casey Hughston and junior Mikey White lead Alabama at the plate with averages of .363 and .353, respectively.

The probably hurlers for this weekends series looks like this as Alabama will go with Taylor Guilbeau (Friday), Jake Walters (Saturday) and Geoffery Bramblett (Sunday). Coach Mike Bianco and the Rebels will go with Christian Trent, Brady Bramlett and Will Stokes on the mound respectively.

Coming into this weekend’s series, the Tide and the Rebels have faced one another on the diamond 341 times with Alabama hold a 194-145-2 lead in the series. Last season in Tuscaloosa, Alabama swept Ole Miss in all three games.

The game originally set for Friday has been postponed due to potential storms. Game times for this series are slated for a first pitch at noon and 7 p.m. Saturday and noon again Sunday with all the action on the Ole Miss Radio Network and SECNetwork+.
