A teenager diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) had his wish come true last Friday when a Rebel star gave him a once-in-a-lifetime surprise.
A patient of Batson Children’s Hospital in Jackson, 14-year-old Jacob Partlow said on video he was a big fan of Ole Miss’ former quarterback Bo Wallace, who shared his hometown of Pulaski, Tennessee.
His mother said to Jennifer Hospodor at UMMC, “Jacob loves Ole Miss and he’s been a fan of Bo’s for years. We were at a game once and Jacob was so excited because before the game, Bo walked by and gave Jacob a ‘High Give’ and he still talks about it.”
Unbeknownst to Jacob who had thought he would get an autographed football, his favorite football player decided to travel 300 miles to Canton, Mississippi to hand him the football in person.
Wallace said in the article kids like Jacob inspires him.
