Sammie Epps Dismissed from Ole Miss Football Team

Published

Ole Miss redshirt freshman tight end Sammie Epps has been dismissed from the football team after a violation of team rules coach Hugh Freeze announced Wednesday.

Epps came in as a four-star player to Ole Miss according to Scout.com with his 6-foot-5 build. Last season, he was thought to be playing in the slot receiver position prior to being arrested last August for driving without a license and possession of marijuana.

Epps looked to be right behind Evan Engram, which makes the Rebels depth at tight end a little bit more thin.
